My vacations- an experience

I still remember the vacations I used to get during the school days. Mother used to make me write a paragraph from the news paper ( deccan chronicle and Eenadu) one paragraph from paper. It used to help me in getting neat handwriting and then when u write with out pressure it used to help me understand the formulation of sentence. Then when it is rechecked i used to know where i did mistake. Mother used to read and explain me the meaning of that paragraph which used to help me pickup the language.

I feel even today kids can be given this exercise so that they excel. I sincerly request all parents to implement this during vacations and help kids in different ways. 1. during peak temperature they are in house to do this exercise which will prevent them from sunstroke. 2. they will develop more proximity with you. 3. their hand writing becomes more good. 4. they can grasp things fast in higher classes. 5. they will start building sentences in a better manner.

Rest upto you parents. I shared what helped me though i was a govt school student.

May vishnu bless all kids with good knowledge.

Class First- An Achievement

I am very very happy just this second when i just saw a tag 'PRINCE OF MONTH - FEB 2010'.  This took me to the days of my college days when I was reading. Few seconds back i wrote about the soul and dharmshala and soul being torn, this just applied the balm on it. It was like oh this is what something i always pushed. But frankly the work starts now. Becoming No 1 is good. But now the bigger challenge is to hold it. We should not let that slip from our hand. At the same time we should not let the fun in life go away for the sake of it. The Kid is a fun loving kid whomso ever it is. They should not be deprived of their fun but yet their need to hold should be explained. In other terms we should get the discipline of time to be into him. Once that comes he will start enjoying his work, fun and everything. Good guidance is the source of everything I believe in it. Had not i got sir, what I would have been i dont know. I cannot think to be even computer literate. similarly the guidance of padma sastry at pg level who is my senior is also worth mentioning.

I Sincerly wish the kid achieve big heights and my guidance to next generations which i promised to my sir will always be there.

Kid, you have done a great job. Now its our duty to jointly setup new targets, new heights to achieve. Let me put something in bold which my heart is saying.

'YOUR ACHIEVEMENT OF THIS HAS GIVEN ME A NEW CHALLENGE TO WORK UPON AND EXTEND MY LIFE TO SEE THAT I GUIDE MORE KIDS TOWARDS ACHIEVING  GREATER HEIGHTS'.

May god bless you with all happiness and joy which you should have. My blessings are with you and i wish to see you making big.

May lord vishnu bless with success.

Dharmshala- seems my soul is there.

Today a seperate feeling freinds. I watched the cricket match of IPL played at Dharmashala. there were some glimpses of the place shown. Some how heart started feeling that at sometime in my past lifes i would have been from here. A sort of association dikh raha tha. What a place it is . Heaven.

Dharamsala, popularly known as "Scotland of India" is a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh. It is well known for its Tibetan settlement and for being the Headquarters of the Dalai Lama in India.

A nearby snowline with numerous streams makes the surroundings very attractive. The colorful temple and Gompas, which reflect the culture of Tibet, adds attraction for the visitor. The mountains enfold it from three sides while the valley stretches in front.

Covering a wide area, it is divided into two parts: Lower Dharamshala and Upper Dharamshala. Lower Dharamshala is a busy commercial center, and Upper Dharamshala is the town that retains a British flavor and colonial lifestyle. Its suburbs are still called McLeod Ganj and Forsyth Ganj.

McLeod Ganj has a strong Tibetan influence; monks in deep red are a common sight in this town and it is also the headquarters of the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama settled here after his flight across the Himalayas following the Chinese invasion of Tibet. The Namgyal Monastery, known as little Lhasa is a major attraction in McLeodganj

The charming church of St. John with stained glass windows is located in the wilderness of Dharamshala and was the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India. Numerous ancient temples like Jwalamukhi Temple, Brijeshwari Temple and Chamunda Temple also lie on the plains below. The Kangra museum is worth a visit as it gives an overview of the rich past of the region.

Other important places to see in Dharamshala include Machhrial And Tatwani, Dal Lake, Kareri Lake, Dharamkot, War Memorial, Bhagsunath, Kunal Pathri, Chinmaya Tapovan, Sujanpur Tira and Andretta.

A busy bazaar town, Dharamsala has established itself as the travelers base camp, which come to explore the nearby mountains. The Kotwali Bazaar provides all the color and unconventional behavior of a small town and a simple life style. The central Tibetan Administration Offices are located here and you can also attend lectures & classes on Tibetan culture and Buddhism. One can even trek to snow point after an early morning's start.

Soon, Very soon i will visit this place to get solace to my soul which is being torn apart over years.

God why do you do this.

God you are very unkind to me. with Ram living it is really looking bad . Why do you take away everybody who comes into my life. Have i done so much bad in my previous life that everything that comes to me has to go back. Have you left me even one thing in life which is with me. God you are doing wrong. One should not be punished to these levels. This is not fair. I have accepted my defeat at your hands long  back. But still this is something which i could not accept. God pls do something.

Deep CHS -106

Hi friends,

A blog at the very early of morning even before you would have got up. Yes. For the past 3.5 months it was Ram who made an impact in the personal life. A pleasing personality. Simple who used to propel me to reach new heights. I almost forgot that i am all alone here in mumbai. Deep CHS 106 yes that apartment has become almost a defacto address. Sit there for hours. talk, laugh every emotion. But the time has come. Ram will be leaving to hyderabad once for all . Today night dinner will be the last one that i will have with Ram at Andhra Mess. Once again god has won as he could take away the small happiness which was there for last 90 to 100 days. The icecreams at amul dairy. The sitting in the park with sachin, ram and psn. Introduced RAM to stock market, The food ram cooks is too good. The dal ram makes is absolutely good. After his entry in mumbai i was able to eat good food for saturday and sunday. With sachin expected to get married in july 16th 2010, i am forced to find a team again. It is becoming tough to get back again.

Sunday myself, Ram and sachin went to nerul temple. How good it was. Having softdrinks , ganna ka juice on way, i felt life. I know it is short lived extremely but yes I have a page to look back. Last time when i went to nerul temple with ram balaji bramhotsavam( god's marriage) is being carried out and ram asked god that he wants to go back to hyderabad. God has listened to his request. He is good person so he got his dream fulfilled. As usual god never listens to kumar and tests and retests. These three months of peace has allowed me to take few good intiatives.

Sleeping at Deep chs- 106 after having lunch was something which i cannot forget. This habit i picked from my grandfather. With Ram at Deep CHS i made sure we ate food with Ghee each time and every time. Juices was a natural part of lunch. Curd became defacto as a part of lunch/dinner. Mentally its going to be a very very big challenge for me to make a come back. The hand breaking i could handle because of team of ram and sachin. The security gaurd dubey who used to massage hand every night saying 'sabh jhi yeh tho mera kismat hai aap ka seva kar saktha hu varna aap tho duniya ko ithna karthe rehthe'.

I wish god give me atleast the energy to face this as ram will be leaving tomorrow to hyderabad and i have a official leave to drop him till airport.

May lord vishnu bless me with energy to make a come back. Kumar is a warrior to core and I will make my come back. just pray to god for supporting me in this come back.

may lord vishnu bless all.

Man found innocent after 14 years in jail

http://www.ndtv.com/news/india/man-found-innocent-after-14-years-in-jail-19753.php

Innocent until proven guilty, is that so? Imagine the trauma of a man and his family whose son spent a decade-and-a-half in jail on charges a court found recently didn't stand. Mohammad Shah is now a free man, but his family has died waiting for their boy to return. All he now has are memories.

Mohammad Maqbool Shah visits the grave of his father and sister in Srinagar. He last saw them 14 years ago, when they saw him off as a class 10th student in Delhi. Today he is trying to console himself by offering prayers at the grave of his father.

"I can't believe my father and my sister are buried here. I can't believe that they are in front of me like this,'' says Maqbool Shah.

Twenty-nine-year-old Shah is finally a free man after spending half of his life in Delhi's Tihar Jail.

In 1996, he was arrested by the Delhi Police as an accused in a bomb blast in the Capital's Lajpat Nagar. But this week, a court judged him innocent and set him free. (Read: Court convicts 6 in Lajpat Nagar blast case)

The loss Maqbool has suffered is enormous. His 24-year-old sister died of brain hemorrhage after she saw the plight of her brother in Tihar Jail. "If this justice was delivered at the right time, my career would not have been ruined. My career is ruined. My home is destroyed. My father and my sister are dead,'' says Mohammad Maqbool Shah.

"It has ruined us. Death struck our family. It is as if death has entered our home,'' says Maqbool's mother Zoona.

Shattered, Maqbool says he has no idea what to do now.

Who will compensate for the loss Maqbool and his family have suffered. He has lost prime of his youth, his education, his father and sister. Maqbool's case is a classical example why people in the Valley are cynical about the safety of Kashmiris in other states of India.

Minding the mind

The complexity of the human mind gives rise to varied mental health problems.

In order to get the right diagnosis, it is important to understand which expert you need to consult...

Psychiatrist

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who will assess you for neurological or psychiatric disorders. In the medical model, the mind or psyche is a biological entity where treatment takes the form of medication to correct chemical imbalances. A psychiatrist makes a diagnosis and prescribes appropriate medication.

Psychotherapist

Alongside psychiatry there are a host of other approaches, clubbed together as psychotherapies, which help in treatment of mental illnesses and disorders. A psychotherapist is a trained licensed professional who uses interpersonal, structured interventions to help individuals, or groups (such as a family), with emotional and psychological problems.

Psychoanalyst

Psychoanalysis is a form of psychotherapy which was developed by Sigmund Freud. A psychoanalyst doesn't give advice or suggestions but attempts to provide a perspective into aspects of your self that are hidden in the subconscious. The aim of psychoanalysis is unravelling, understanding and then reworking infantile/childhood experiences in more adaptive ways. Think of Billy Crystal in Analyze This.

Clinical Psychologist

He is a professional who specialises in diagnosing and treating emotional disturbances, and behaviour problems. Psychologists can only use talk therapy as treatment;you must see a psychiatrist to be treated with medication. Psychologists may have a master's degree or doctorate in psychology. They may also have other qualifications, including Board certification and additional training in a type of therapy.

Counsellor

Typical problems related to your education and career can be addressed with the intervention of a counsellor. He helps people resolve problems related to 'role' issues at work, school, or in a family set up. He is more of a 'problem solver' who, through direct advice or other forms of guidance, helps the client make informed decisions. If counselling does not allow you to get closure on the issue, you may need psychotherapy to help figure out deeper conflicts within yourself.

Thanks vaishnavi - tips for healthy heart

With millions of people all around the world suffering from heart disease, it’s one issue that you shouldn’t ignore. The good news is that with a few simple lifestyle changes, one can easily reduce their risk and keep the heart healthy.

Small steps such as reducing one’s intake of alcohol, eating better, exercising regularly and throwing away cigarettes, can make a world of a difference.
Including green tea in your diet can help. The drink is rich in antioxidants that reduce cholesterol and may help lower blood pressure. If drinking hot tea is not your thing, add some ice into it and drink it as a cooling beverage during the hot summer months. Green tea also contains properties that kill cancer growing cells without damaging the healthy tissue. Since it prevents the formation of abnormal blood clots, it is ideal for preventing strokes.

Take inspiration from the Italians. Using good olive oil in your regular cooking can make a difference. The fat present in the oil helps lower bad LDL cholesterol. It’s also rich in antioxidants, which may help reduce the risk of cancer and other diseases. Going slow on the butter can also help. Substitute mayonnaise-based salad dressings with olive oil whenever possible.

You’ve probably heard it plenty of times before, but getting adequate sleep is of utmost importance. Every extra hour of sleep middle-aged people get can be beneficial for the heart. If the body is sleep deprived, it releases stress hormones that block arteries and cause inflammation. People who are always tired and lethargic, may be sleep deprived. Find out how many hours of rest you need to function well.

Eating a diet rich in fibre is a good idea. Recent studies suggest that the more fibre you eat, the less likely you are to have a heart attack. Ditch the white bread for whole grain options and cereals oats etc. Add beans into your dishes, soups, and salads. These foods can do wonders for you. For all those non-vegetarians, eating seafood is a better option to fatty meats. Salmon and anchovies contain omega-3 fatty acids that help your heart maintain a steady rhythm. Start including them in your salads and sandwiches a couple of times a week.

Breakfast is definitely the most important meal of the day and kickstarting your morning with juice can help. Orange juice has folic acid that helps lower the heart attack risk. Grape juice with flavonoids and resveratrol, may prevent artery-blocking clots. Most juices are good options, just ensure you have a sugar-free one.

Along with a good diet, exercising is equally essential. Try and go for a walk for 20 minutes everyday and reduce your risk of heart attacks by one-third. Exercises not only helps you keep fit, but gets the heart pumping in the right way. If walking is not your thing, opt for aerobics or dance classes.

How to cope with stress at work

Stress is a dynamic condition where you face constraints and demands that you find yourself unable to fulfill. It can wreak havoc on your personal and professional life and sometimes, the nature of your job or pressures at your workplace may be the chief cause.
Whatever be the factors, stress can hamper your physical and emotional health. Identifying the causes and tackling them in the right manner can help you deal with it.
There'll be times when you'll be required to multitask. In such a scenario, being unprepared for meetings, last minute changes or lack of cooperation from colleagues can trigger stress unnecessarily.
The only way to deal with this is to plan ahead. If the task involves a joint effort, call for a meeting and decide what to do. Planning early will help you avoid last minute snags.
Also, when your work depends on inputs from others, you may be forced to stay in late, which may affect your productivity. Discuss the problem positively with your superiors to work out a solution. In such cases, time management skills come very handy.
Women workers may face additional stress, caused by discrimination in salary and position or sexual harassment. To add to it, there are also the demands of children, family and domestic duties. There may be no magical potion to solve this problem other than keeping your spirits high at work and properly planning of day's events.
Continual stress can affect your health. According to a recently conducted survey by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), 54 percent of the workforce in the country suffers from severe headache, chronic backache, obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure. Stress can also affect your mental health, leaving you depressed. If not tackled on time, stress can have a debilitating impact on your health.
If you are not fortunate, your boss may be someone with an insensitive attitude towards you, and may not impart the necessary training required for the job. He or she may lack time management skills, for which you may suffer a great deal.
Appraisals are another trigger for high levels of workplace stress. Your performance may be unfairly compared with that of colleagues. Even if you have performed well, the uncertainty involved in the process can cause you anxiety; you will feel stressed until the whole evaluation gets over.

At times you may not be judged fairly and may not be given due credit for the work you have done. Relax before appearing for the appraisal. If you are required to give a presentation, talk to your seniors about how to go about it and rehearse before the final take. Be sure to communicate what you feel without sounding harsh.
Your boss may also be someone who is threatened by your capabilities, and may restrict your avenues to acquire experience on the job. He or she may be a Type A personality (displaying high levels of agitation, an excessively competitive drive, time urgency and even hostility), impatient to see results minutes after assigning work.
All of these are factors that add to stress. But there are ways to cope. You must communicate with your boss about what is causing you stress. Evaluate if communication is going to help. If not, try and escalate the issue, or else move on.
Lack of cooperation from colleagues also adds to workplace stress. If you are a fresher, you may not be given the necessary training. If you have good experience, you may be seen as a potential threat.
Inadequate communication regarding your tasks, or being deprived of credit for the work you do, can all add up to your stress. A way out would be to continue showing a positive attitude towards your work and slowly gain the confidence of your colleagues. Be quick enough to understand them and do not get into unfavourable situations. Always keep your calm and handle situations wisely.
Handling stress is not easy, especially if it affects your mental stability. But keeping a positive approach helps. Even if you have missed a deadline, keep your cool and say, 'I can do it.'

Breathe deeply for a second or two and begin with a fresh mind. Keep your personal and professional life apart and start your day with a smile. Stay away from addictions of any kind when you are stressed. Smoking or drinking may divert your attention, but they cause long term damage.

Last word: Don't ever give in to stress. Your productivity and good health depend upon how you deal with it.

Tips for investment

You make money from investing only when you have a clear appreciation of its principles and realities.
Once you understand these, you will be better able to keep a cool mind during the inevitable ups and downs - and reap riches by investing with controlled risks.
1. Investment rewards can only be increased by the assumption of greater risk
This fundamental law of finance is supported by centuries of historical data. US stocks have provided a compounded rate of return of 11 per cent per year since 1926, but this return came only at substantial risk to investors: total returns were negative in three out of ten years
2. Your actual risk in stock and bond investing depends on the length of time you hold your investment

Holders of a diversified stock portfolio in the US from 1950 to 2000 were treated to a range of annual total returns, which varied from +52 per cent to -26 per cent.
There was no dependability of earning an adequate return in any single year. But if you held your portfolio for 25 years in the same period, your overall return would have been close to 11 per cent - whichever 25 years you were invested for.
In other words, by holding stocks for relatively long periods of time, you can be reasonably sure of earning generous rates of return available from common stocks.
3. Decide how much risk you are willing to take to get high returns.

J P Morgan once had a friend who was so worried about his stock holdings that he could not sleep at night.
Morgan advised him to 'sell down to his sleeping point'. He wasn't kidding. Every investor must decide the trade-off he or she is willing to make between eating well and sleeping well.
Your tolerance for risk informs the types of investment - stocks, bonds, money-market accounts, property - that you make. So what's your sleeping point?

4. Dollar-cost averaging can reduce the risk of investing in stocks and bonds

Dollar-cost averaging simply means investing the same fixed amount of money in, for example, the shares of a mutual fund at regular intervals - say, every month or quarter - over a long period.
It can reduce (but not avoid) the risks of equity investment by ensuring that the entire portfolio of stocks will not be purchased at temporarily inflated prices.
5. Stock prices are anchored to 'fundamentals' but the anchor is easily pulled up and then dropped in another place
The most important fundamental influence on prices is the level and duration of the future growth of corporate earnings and dividends.
But earnings growth is not easily estimated, even by market professionals. In times of optimism, it is easy to convince yourself that your favorite company will enjoy substantial and persistent growth over an extended period.
In times of pessimism, many security analysts will not project any growth that is not 'visible' and hence will estimate only modest growth rates for the corporations they follow.
Given that expected growth rates and the price the market is willing to pay for growth can both change rapidly on the basis of market psychology, the concept of a firm intrinsic value for shares must be an elusive will-o-the-wisp.
6. If you buy stocks directly, confine your purchases to companies that appear able to sustain above-average earnings growth for at least five years and which can be bought at reasonable price-earnings multiples.

As difficult as it may be, picking stocks whose earnings grow is the name of the game.
Consistent growth not only increases the earnings and dividends of the company but may also increase the multiple (P/E) that the market is willing to pay for those earnings.
The purchaser of a stock whose earnings begin to grow rapidly has a potential double benefit: both the earnings and the multiple may increase
7. Never pay more for a stock than can reasonably be justified by a firm foundation of value.

Although I am convinced that you can never judge the exact intrinsic value of a stock, I do feel that you can roughly gauge when a stock seems to be reasonably priced.
The market price earnings multiple (P/E) is a good place to start: you should buy stocks selling at multiples in line with, or not very much above, this ratio.
Note that, although similar, this is not simply another endorsement of the 'buy low P/E stocks' strategy.
Under my rule it is perfectly alright to buy a stock with a P/E multiple slightly above the market average - as long as the company's growth prospects are substantially above average.

8. Buy stocks with the kinds of stories of anticipated growth on which investors can build castle in the air

Stocks are like people - some have more attractive personalities than others, and the improvement in a stock's P/E multiple may be smaller and slower to be realised if its story never catches on.
The key to success is being where other investors will be, several months before they get there. Ask yourself whether the story about your stock is one that is likely to catch the fancy of the crowd.
9. Trade as little as possible

Frequent switching between stocks accomplishes nothing but subsidizing your broker and increasing your tax burden when you do realize gains.
My own philosophy leads me to minimize trading as much as possible. I am merciless with the losers, however.
With few exceptions, I sell before the end of each calendar year any stocks on which I have a loss. The reason for this is that losses are deductible (up to certain amounts) for tax purposes, or can offset gains you may already have taken.

Thus, taking losses can actually reduce the amount of loss by lowering your tax bill.

10. Give serious thought to index funds
Most investors will be better off buying index funds (funds that buy and hold all the stocks in a broad stock market index) rather than buying individual stocks. Index funds provide broad diversification, low expenses and are tax efficient.
Index funds regularly beat two-thirds of the actively managed funds with which they compete

The curious ladybug.

Once upon a time, a cheerful ladybug was in the park hopping from one flower to another and enjoying the nice sunny day. The ladybug was a very curious, and liked to check out anything new.

The ladybug flew across the road to look at the row of homes across from the park. Each home had a little yard with plenty of flowers. Her favorite flowers were the red roses and so she went to the yard that had the most. "Mmmmmm" she went as she started munching. "Such beautiful and delicious roses" she thought.

While she was enjoying herself and hopping from on red rose to another, she noticed the front door opening and a man leaving the house. He left the door cracked open as he gathered his things, so the ladybug flew in. On her way in she almost bumped into a woman who was heading out. The woman walked out the door and slammed it shut. Oops, the ladybug was stuck inside!

The ladybug didn't care at first. She wanted to look around and explore. She flew into the bedroom, it was tidy and nice. She then flew to the bathroom and found it very boring so she left right away. Then she flew into the kitchen where she nibbled on some crumbs she found on the table. She also licked a spot of maple syrup she found on the table.

Now that the ladybug had seen everything she was ready to leave. But how could she when all the doors and windows were closed. So the ladybug decided to wait until the people came home so that she could fly out the crack again as they came in.

She waited, and waited until she got tired of waiting and got hungry too. She decided to fly back to the kitchen to take another lick of the maple syrup on the table. "Yum" she thought as she slurped up some maple syrup, "Mmmm". But just then the man and woman came home and shut the door behind them. The ladybug had missed her chance.

She would have to try again the next day, she though as she hid under the lampshade in the living room, right next to the door. The man and woman went to bed and the ladybug fell asleep under the lampshade. She was so tired and it had been a long day. She was sleeping very deeply, having lovely ladybug dreams, when she heard the door opening and closing. "What happened?" she thought, " How could I have missed them again?" It seems she was so tired that she didn't even hear them wake up, get dressed, and head out to work.

"Why do they have to leave for work so early?" thought the ladybug. "Now I'll probably never make it out" then she flew off to the kitchen to eat some more of the left over crumbs that she found. She found some muffin crumbs that tasted very good and was lucky enough to find a small drop of orange juice that she licked up happily. "That was a really great breakfast" she said to herself, "but now I need to concentrate on finding out how to get out of this place and get back home. My family must be worried about me by now."

She looked around everywhere. She was hoping there was a cracked window or a hole in the wall, but she couldn't find any. She tried to squeeze under the door, but there just wasn't enough room. She just had to wait….again!

This time she would not go to the kitchen, she would not rest or sleep either. She would just wait…and she did, for a long, long time. But the man and his wife did not go back home right away after work. Instead they decided to go out for dinner, and they stayed out late. The ladybug waited till it was very dark and she was so tired. She gave up on them coming back and fell asleep.

At about midnight the couple came back home. The ladybug woke up on the door slamming shut and saw the man and the woman walking in. Then she waited until they went to bed and fell asleep.

The ladybug decided not to wait until the morning to do something. She did not want to fall asleep again and miss them leaving in the morning. She had thought of hiding in the woman's purse, but the purse was closed shut and she was unable to get in.

Then she thought of the man's wallet, but she feared that when he put his wallet in his pants he might sit on her and squish her. She needed someplace to hide where she wouldn't be seen, but she also needed it to be something that the man or woman would take with them when they left the house.

Then she noticed the man's hat. "That would be a perfect place," she thought. "I can hide inside the hat, all the way inside. Hopefully he won't shove his hat on really hard and squish me." Then she crawled to the topmost part of the hat and waited till the morning.

In the morning the couple got dressed and went to work, but the man left his hat! The man and woman walked out but the hat stayed…with the ladybug inside! Poor ladybug.

The man had forgotten his hat and when he noticed that he did he returned to the house to get it. The ladybug was still inside it although she was just about to get out. The man took the hat and gently placed it on his head. The ladybug sighed with relief. Then she realized something. How was she going to get out from under the hat unless the man took it off? The ladybug sure wasn't ready to wait any longer. She had already waited for two days to go back to her family and she wanted to go to them now. So, the ladybug jumped on the man's bald head and started tickling him on his scalp. The man felt his head starting to tickle and took his hat off to itch it. At that very moment the ladybug was ready and she flew out to freedom. "Free at last" she cried! And then she flew back home to her very worried family.

Starting a company- few important things to do.

New entrepreneurs and established small business players find it difficult and cumbersome to get through the first stage of starting a company, which is its legal formation. Though one of the most important areas to look into many people overlook it and find themselves handicapped a few years down the line when they are looking for external investment or finance.

Remember that any investor looks for an asset, and assets have first existence on paper. Even banks look for 3 years' track record to provide unsecured or secured finance. So what should the early start-up do? Here are some steps that Netzcorporate.com LLP would like to advice.

1. Secure your idea on paper

Put a business plan together. Refer to various sample business plans that are available online. Put a study on market size, market need, your product offering and how your product offers significant value addition to other players in the market. Generally investors like ideas that cater to mass market and offer a solution to a much-needed problem at lesser price and in quicker time.

Get your copyright, trademark and apply for patents if possible.

2. Form a company

Decide the ownership structure in equity terms and form the company on paper. In forming a company, here are the options that one has to consider:

a. Sole proprietorship firm

Although a lot of people get started with sole proprietorship firms, such form of companies is suitable if one wants to expand the company operations in the future and scale the company. Sole proprietorship firms let you open a bank account.

b. Partnership firm

Partnership firms are very much like sole proprietorship firms with the only difference of multiple partners. Both forms let you open a bank account and shift to more recognised model in the future.

c. Private limited company

This is the most recognised form of company formation that needs a minimum of Rs one lakh as paid up capital by it's directors and needs a minimum of two directors. Private limited company formation needs director identification numbers and costs approximately Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000.

d. Limited liability partnership

Limited liability partnerships is a newly introduced format by the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) and offers several advantages such as:

Limited liability on directors

Unlimited partners

Tax benefits

It costs approximately Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 to start a limited liability company.

e. Foreign incorporation

This type of incorporation is required when your target market lies outside your country of residence and operation. Most online firms cater to diversified global clients hence need to form a company in the region they conduct business in. Foreign companies who want to do business in India [ Images ] can register a foreign LLP in India or a private limited with foreign partners. While Indian businesses who want to do foreign incorporation can typically opt for limited liability company structure which can be registered online and are supported by most countries such as US, UK and Singapore.

3. Start recording transactions

You will be able to open your bank accounts once your company is formed online. It is very important to do as many transactions as possible through bank because it is the perfect evidence for various venture capitalists or financing institutions.

4. File your company returns regularly

File returns for your company regularly, there are various tax numbers required in order to do that. But it is better if you file your returns on time.

5. Know the bank people and get your finance pre-approvals

When you start the company and customers start coming in, most people get stuck with inability to arrange finance for scaling up. Although venture capital and angel investment exists, most people know that the probability to secure it is as good as winning a lottery. But do not get upset.

If you have your papers right, any of your local bank has programmes such as unsecured and secured finance, from Rs 30 lakh to even Rs 300 crore.

Cracked pot

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole, which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.

“I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you”.

“Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?”

“I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, “As we return to the master’s house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.”

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.”

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We are all cracked pots. But it is the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. Tap the cracks in those around you to make flowers. You’ve just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there. There is a lot of good in all of us! Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Remember to give to and appreciate all the different people in your life (even if they forget your name at first) and they will reciprocate, come to appreciate and like you.

If it hadn’t been for the crackpots in my life, it would have been pretty boring… and I wouldn’t be were I am today!

The Man by the Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had traveled to. And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn’t hear the band he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said that perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

The carpenters house.

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.

He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.

The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “my gift to you.”

What a shock!

What a shame!

If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, “Life is a do-it-yourself project.” Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

Lucky to drive a maruti 800

http://www.ndtv.com/news/cities/want-to-own-the-first-maruti-800-18900.php

Way before the much-touted Tata Nano, a small wonder hit the Indian markets in 1982 and made millions of people realise their dream of buying a car.

The Maruti 800 which was a symbol for the Indian middle class for decades is ready to roll into the sunset. But you have a chance to drive some history into your garage. Harpal Singh and Gulshanbeer Kaur - proud owners of the country's first Maruti 800 - might put the vehicle up for sale.

Since Bharat IV emission norms come into force from today, the car will go off the roads across the country, news that has saddened the Singhs. Harpal Singh, a resident of Green Park, received the keys to his car from Prime Minister Indira Gandhi herself.

"I am the proud owner of the first Maruti 800. It disappoints me that the company has decided to shelve it. If they do, procuring spare parts for the car will become difficult and its maintenance cost will go up." Harpal Singh said.

His wife though struck a more positive note. "I am not sure how much we will get if we sell it. If we get a good price then we may think of selling the car," said Gulshanbeer Kaur.

Recalling the day they bought the car, Kaur said, "We bought it on December 14, 1983, for Rs 47,500 and the keys were handed over to us by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Our grandson still drives it."

"The little car set millions of hearts on fire. After receiving the keys, I drove to Meerut with my family. The journey took an extra hour as inquisitive onlookers surrounded us wherever we stopped. Everyone wanted a look of the vehicle that had revolutionised the Indian automotive industry and its roads. It was a head- turner," Singh said.

Two decades ago when the compact car, the product of a joint venture between the Indian government and Suzuki, was launched, it took no time to leave behind the ungainly Ambassador, instantly becoming a darling of the aspiring class.

"My car gave me no major problems. It only requires timely maintenance," said Singh. Maruti honoured Singh by showcasing his car on the company's 10th anniversary. December 14 is also celebrated as "My Car Day".

I too can proudly say this I drove this car. My brother in law also drove this car with my sister for an year.

Happy Happy.
